OMA-300 Near-Infrared SIGMA Analyzer
Continuously measure the concentration of substances in liquid or gaseous components.
Using an indium-gallium-arsenide detector, measurements can be made in any of the following three wavelength ranges: 1350–1650 nm, 1550–1850 nm, and 1750–2150 nm.
Product Features
Instrument Features
- Continuously measure the concentration of substances in liquid or gaseous components.
- All-solid-state design with no moving parts—modernized design, low maintenance requirements.
- Armored fiber optic design, independent measurement cell structure – the sample never enters the instrument’s interior.
- High stability tested over decades in various environmental conditions.
Analysis application
The OMA-300 near-infrared SIGMA analyzer provides continuous, real-time measurement results. Based on Beer-Lambert’s law, this instrument correlates the optical signal of a specific chemical substance with its actual concentration by measuring the absorbance of liquids or gases. The instrument employs an indium-gallium-arsenide detector and allows users to select one of three different wavelength ranges for scanning: 1350–1650 nm, 1550–1850 nm, and 1750–2150 nm.
These measurement bands are ideally suited for applications including: water in liquid solvents, water in propylene, ethylene concentration, validation of mobile phases for high-performance liquid chromatography in biopharmaceuticals, acrolein purity, acetaldehyde, and more.
Technical Principle
To analyze the concentration of a specific substance, this analyzer uses an indium-gallium-arsenide detector to perform spectral measurements in the infrared wavelength range, covering the bands from 1350–1650 nm, 1550–1850 nm, and 1750–2150 nm. The detector quantifies the light absorbed by the substance, and the OMA converts this optical signal into a high-resolution absorption spectrum.
OMA uses a long-life tungsten light source to direct an optical signal into the sample inside the flow cell. The optical signal is transmitted via optical fiber to the measurement cell, where it comes into contact with the sample. Samples of different concentrations will produce distinct optical signals.
